Rent our holiday home in a "pueblo blanco".

We are the owners of a village home in Torvizcón, a little white village in the Alpujarras. The Alpujarras is one of the most beautiful areas in Andalucia, between the Sierra Nevada and the Costa Tropical.

Our house is a traditional village house on the edge of Torvizcón, completely rebuilt with all modern conveniences. It has a patio, a balcony and a very spacious roof terrace with stunning views of the summits of the Sierra Nevada. If the house is not rented, we use it ourselves for weekends and as a holiday home. Torvizcón is a typical Spanish village where you will not come across many tourists. Whitewashed houses on small steep streets. In one of those streets is our house. You will stay amongst the Spanish, our neighbours are called Pilar and Encarna. With pleasure we introduce Torvizcón here.

The villages are small and seem to be glued to the sunny side of the mountain. They have small steep alleys with a large church surrounded by white houses with balconies full of flowers and flat roofs with the characteristic chimneys of the Alpujarras.

One of the best things to do in the Alpujarras is hiking. There are hiking maps and hiking books available in the house. We have also described a number of walks ourselves, complete with photos so you can get an idea of the walk. The walks we describe take you through the prettiest parts of the Alpujarras, often over ancient Moorish trails and bridges. Here you can read more about this beautiful area.
